The release of version 2.0 of the Open Source Sonar platform is an opportunity to review and discuss one of the youngest professions in the world: Software developer. After many generations of self-taught developers and enthusiasts, what does it mean to be a professional developer today, and what are our responsibilities and challenges?
The main legacy left by a developer and more broadly by a development team is their source code. The main quality expected of source code is its ability to accommodate change at minimal cost. What are the evaluation criteria for this source code quality?
In the second part of the session, a Sonar demonstration will show how to continuously evaluate this code quality, particularly along a new Design & Architecture axis introduced by version 2.0.
