Introduction to NoSQL with Couchbase

📅 2013-06-25

This presentation will begin with an introduction to NoSQL. This introduction will explain the reasons why more and more projects are using this type of solution and the limitations of traditional architectures. Tugdual will also cover the different approaches (Key-Value, Document, Columns, Graph) and solutions. Once this introduction is complete, you will see in detail the Couchbase Server 2.0 solution. Couchbase is a NoSQL database oriented toward Documents developed as Open Source. Tugdual will present, based on demonstrations:

  • Java application development (and/or others according to taste) on NoSQL by explaining the benefits of solutions
  • based on flexible data structures (JSON Documents)
  • the use of Map Reduce for creating complex queries
  • the setup and administration of a cluster, and the associated challenges

Come discover the joys of NoSQL and “schemaless” development!
