Discover the open source Search tools that have already convinced many companies and are offered by the Apache Foundation: Lucene / Solr.
In the first part of the evening, to know what we’re talking about, Olivier will present the Lucene and Solr projects, their components, their architecture, their features, and we’ll add scalability with SolrCloud (with demo).
In the second part of the evening, Olivier will present the ecosystem (or at least part of it) that revolves around Lucene/Solr: ManifoldCF which allows managing connections to data sources (with content indexing and live search demo), Hadoop, because we must talk about Big Data, and because Solr is becoming one of the reference tools for search on Hadoop (with another demo of Hadoop and Solr interaction).
With all that, you’ll have in your toolkit everything you need to manage big projects with big search in them.
